I love to shop, especially since I work at a pretty awesome store (and is owned by a pretty awesome company). My current obsessions are:

Library Book Cardigan by Splendid for Anthropologie - This knit cardigan is adorable! It goes with everything and the fit is amazing! At first, I thought it would look silly on my small frame (I'm 5'0") since it's long, but oddly, it looks just fine. I've gotten some many compliments that I've sent people to go buy them. I own it in grey, black, and navy.

Ringspun V-Neck painter tee by J.Crew - I got this as a gift (in Deep Peacock) from my mom who is very fashionable. It feels very well (a little loose in the stomach, which is good for a girl like me who is in the middle of losing weight) and the color is AMAZING! It's something that you can dress up with a funky necklace or bangles or you can run out wearing a camisole and a pair of jeans.

High-waisted demin pencil skirt by J.Crew - I saw this in the new Look Book for J.Crew and I am in love!! Perfect for a day or shopping or work!

Charmed and Dangerous is a website that offers the cutest charmed necklaces (long or short) and earrings. I bought my cousin a necklace for here and she loved it!

Does anyone know of a good website/community that collects and posts fashion editorials?

I wrote a more extensive post on another community about this (one of the affiliates of this community) but thought I'd ask here, too. Would you (or have you) ever rent a designer handbag from a place such as Bag, Borrow, or Steal?

I've been lusting after this Chloe Heloise bag for MONTHS now, and even considered finding a fake (my conscience got the better of me), but at $1,670.00 it was too rich for my blood (and still too rich for my blood now that it's on sale for $835.00). I have a few nice bags--two Cole Haans that I found at a thrift store and consignment shop, respectively, and a Dooney and Bourke my boyfriend gave me for Christmas--but many of those aren't even close to being as pricey as say, a Chloe or a Fendi. I briefly considered renting one, just to tote it around to see how it felt, but renting is still kind of expensive when you have bills to pay. I couldn't bring myself to it.

So I pose this question for the sake of conversation: Would you ever rent a handbag?

I really hope this comm. is still active! I really enjoy it. Anyway, I saw these boots in a catalog. I really love them, but am a little unsure of the heel. It is 2 1/2 inches. I'm not very good with heels and have some problems with my feet. I don't think they're very high though, and they're super cute! So what does everyone think? Are they cute? Would they be comfortable? Does anyone have any like them? Are they worth $40 dollars? Also, has anyone bought anything from alloy.com or the catalog? That's where I found them. I'm placing an order with them soon and want to see if they provide good service. Thanks for all your guys help!!

I was hoping for some advice, actually, as to how to best dress a body type like mine. I'm incredibly short - 5'2", without heels - and yet I have somehow managed to maintain a bra size of 34DDD. Not the typical idea when somebody thinks of fashion, nowadays, but hopefully somebody here has similar problems or experience with friends of the same size who might know what to do.

Basically, I just want some tips on how to best dress myself! I read everywhere about scoopnecks and V-necks being the way to go to minimize a large bust, but it's begun to severely limit my fashion choices. A girl can't go around wearing skinny jeans and long, scoop-neck t-shirts forever! What else looks good on short, borderline plus size girls?

Also, sweaters! I love sweaters to death. They're so comfortable. And living in New England, hello, sweaters are a person's best friend. Are there any kinds of styles out there that won't make me look like I weigh a hundred pounds more than I already do? XD Regular sweaters just don't flatter my curves, so I've had to give up the things!

Any ideas are greatly appreciated, guys! Thanks!

Hey, I love fashion as the next boy does, but too much to take credit for. My life time obsession but it is to late for me to actually be going to the top fashion schools in the country so I am trying to just get my "poor sketchs" on the go and start designing some clothes as of now, I am working on my sister's prom dress so I would hopefully be able to get a sketch up before the week ends.

Hi everyone! First time poster here.

A few days ago, I saw a picture of Paul McCartney wearing some shoes which, I think, are pretty cool. (Yes, laugh all you want that I like a 65 year old man's shoes, but I think that they're neat.) So, off I went to shoes.com and zappos.com to try to find the shoes, with no luck :( Could anyone help me out?

 Ok, I bought the jacket that the girl in the picture is wearing, mine is in dark gray though. What she has on under it is cute, but I'm looking for a few more options. Any suggestions on what else would look good underneath the jacket? Thanks for any help! :)

Have any of you ever had a fashion-block before? I guess I'm trying to relate it to the word, writers-block. Those days where you dress so well, then for reason it just stops and you have no idea what outfit you are going to wear the next day or what you want to buy for the next year.
I use to love styling myself all the time and then it just... boom gone.

I've always loved looking at fashion editorials online, as they always inspired me in my day to day life and my graphic design (for those of you that don't know, I have a personal domain and icon journal)...but I just feel like in the last year or 2, I've only seen a few memorable ones! And even then they aren't very inspiring.

i have never been "fashionable" (although i AM interested in fashion) and since i was about 11 (im 22 now) i have lived in band shirts, hooded tops, jeans and trainers.

i dont feel feminine AT ALL, im 6'1, very flat chested and my shoulders are broad too.
really im just looking for suggestions of clothes that will make me look less... manly(?). i have never worn skirts/dresses and dont really want to start because i have big feet (uk size 9, us size 10) and im just a very self conscious person. i dress for comfort and warmth more than anything else.

Now a plea for help: I bought some high-waisted shorts at Banana Republic last weekend, but I have no idea how to wear them! They're white with navy stripes, and they cost about $40, so I really want to look great in them, but I'm afraid they make me look bigger than I am. And I know it's after Labour Day or whatever, but it's still so hot here!

Ok, so in a follow up to my post here yesterday, I returned to the store to buy that red dress and like a true geek decided to post pictures of me in it here, and decide whether or not to return it lol.

I can of course wear a belt with it, or use a brooch to pin the dress in the back, as simple_wishing suggested, but I'd really like to have the option to just wear the dress as is. I just fear it may be one of those "HOW MANY MONTHS PREGNANT ARE YOU?!?!?!" dresses (the salesgirls at the store laughed at this - BUT BELIEVE ME, IT HAS HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE!).

So, what do you guys think:

i really love it, but unforunately i'm very tiny so it's a little longer than intended. it's too short to be a tunic, but it's much too long to be worn as a shirt. i'm confused as to how i should wear it, and i would be very thankful if people could suggest some ways to wear it. thanks so much!

Hello everyone (im new here btw)
I'm intending to buy these pair of pants frm Juicy @ shopbop and since im buying it online, i dont want to regret over having chosen the wrong color after that, so i need some opinions ;D

And for those who haven't seen the latest Marc by Marc Jacobs s/s 2008 collection yet,

So I'm sure that as everyone knows, mod/60s dresses are absolutely everywhere now - and I THINK I've finally found one that I love.

The only problem is, that I'm not sure it fits my body type.

The dress in question is this red smock dress from Francesca's:



It's made from wool or rayon, so definitely meant for fall and winter (at least winter here, in Texas lol) - I LOVE the color. I don't have many red things in my wardrobe currently, but the color is one thing that definitely looks nice on me. Now for the fit, the smallest size they have is a small, which is still quite large. I'm fairly petite with an hourglass figure, and the dress looks really cute from the front (though slightly baggy), but in the back it looked extremely baggy. I don't know it it's just normal, or if I should wear a belt with it (suggestions welcome!), though I'd like to be able to wear it without a belt...or should I just go for something else?

I know the description is kind of vague, but since I only tried it on at the store, I can't really provide a visual :/

Well Spring 2008's Ready-to-Wear lines are coming down the runway as Olympus Fashion Week is in full swing!

Judging by the majority of the collections thus far, it seems that spring 2008 will mostly consist of streams of grey, white, and a yellow/chartreuse color.

So far, 2 of the collections I've found most impressive, and well at least most wearble for me are Cynthia Rowley and Doo.Ri:
